Dear Room 112 Families, December 7, 2015 wk 15
A few reminders for the week: Please turn in the 3-2-1 survey for feedback on your child’s first grade experience so far. Name is optional. Surveys will be placed in paper bin, not handed to me. Obtain a pin number from the main office to view your child’s grades on the Parent Portal. Grades are updated weekly. Q2 progress reports distributed Friday, January 8th, 2016. This is the Friday of the first full week back at school. Turn in money & permission slip for the field trip ASAP. $14, cash or money order. No check. We must pay for this trip before we can secure the seated tickets. We will let you know of the trip date after all slips have been returned. Chaperones for this trip are very limited. Please see your child's teacher for information. No school 12/21 – 1/1/16. School is back in session Monday, 1/4/2016. A NOTE ABOUT TEACHER GIFTS I have come to the decision of no gifts for the teacher for several reasons. If your child would like to make something for me, I would cherish that. If you would like to make a donation to a technology fundraiser I have created, please visit this link http://www.digitalwish.com/dw/digitalwish/view_fundraiser?id=1466 to view the wish list and donate. I am trying to start 2016 with a mini-ipad and docu camera for the class! With $390, we can obtain a mini-iPad and document camera. Thank You! THIS WEEK IN: WORD STUDY Students will be doing sorting activities throughout the week in their word study notebooks to prepare for their spelling test on Friday.
